Major international events & professional congresses are back, finally! Prado Silos is once again travelling around the world to attend some of the most relevant trade fairs in the industry. FIMA Zaragoza, Grain Tech Egypt, Expo Pioneros in Paraguay… Undoubtedly, these few months have been a time to resume and strengthen the lasting ties linking the most experienced silo manufacturer in Europe with some of its worldwide clients, partners and international collaborators, attending the most important events in an industry driven by technology, innovation and knowledge.
As a result of the pandemics, it has been almost two years without international trade fairs and exhibitions, and the first half of 2022 means that the global calendar of major events is back in full swing, with very important dates for the silo industry around the world: Egypt, South America, Europe... Prado Silos packed with great enthusiasm for travelling around the world again to deploy its solutions on an international scale, visiting several renowned agricultural trade fairs and professional technical events to find out about the latest trends in the industry in terms of technology, expertise, sustainability, efficiency… These professional meetings set out the challenges and opportunities for a crucial production such as silos manufacturing, serving agriculture as a whole, highlighting and enhancing the value and positioning of the product.
Of course, after such a long time without taking part in a trade fair, the run-up to the event creates a certain amount of excitement. But already on the first day, however, this tension fades away. The joy of meeting again in person with friends, clients, collaborators and business partners is all-important. At last we can once again observe, touch and try out new equipment while exchanging impressions and experiences with the most renowned professionals in the industry.
Let’s start with FIMA 2022, in Zaragoza (Spain), one of the most renowned agricultural machinery trade fairs in Europe, which brought together more than 1,100 exhibiting companies and attracted 104,000 visitors during five days full of contents and presentations, where the agricultural universe and all the realted equipment, services and technologies were the main protagonists.
FIMA 2022 is a particularly important trade fair for Prado Silos due to its proximity, both from a geographical, economic, social and cultural point of view. For the most experienced silo manufacturer in Europe, the commercial framework deployed at this event has made it possible to establish a large number of business contacts, a feature that has generated great satisfaction among the exhibiting companies and professional attendees.
The internationalisation of the event, particularly at a time when market scenario and mobility restrictions are especially complicated, deserves a special mention, not only because of the large number of exhibiting companies from 35 countries, but also in view of the over one thousand meetings held between international business missions and participating companies, a very necessary format in these times, given the urgent need to strengthen relations and open new bridges with suppliers, clients and logistics partners.
After the Zaragoza event, Prado Silos travelled to Cairo (Egypt) for the 22nd International Exhibition of Mills and Technologies for the Cereal Industry (Grain Tech Egypt), which took place from 17 to 19 May in the capital of the Nile country. Besides the large presence of international clients (especially from Africa and the Persian Gulf), this event is particularly relevant in the current global context considering that Egypt is the world’s largest importer of wheat, and relied mainly on Ukraine and Russia for the supply of wheat from abroad.
This trade fair, held in such an emblematic city as Cairo, represented a not-to-miss event for Prado Silos, as it was an event specially focused on large-scale grain storage solutions. After all, it was an incomparable occasion to meet again with all the professionals involved in the industry, from farmers, traders, intermediaries and manufacturers, to designers, consultants, distributors, sellers and buyers. In short, Grain Tech was the ideal meeting point for all the players whose interaction creates the Grain Tech market for the Middle East and Africa, a crucial space at world level in the agri-food sector, especially in the grain sector.
With hardly time to unpack, Prado Silos left Egypt and crossed the Atlantic to land in Uruguay, where the eagerly awaited Expo Pioneros was being held, the most important event for the development of the Gran Chaco region, a geographical area located in the centre of South America and covering part of the current territories of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil and Paraguay. Prado Silos visited this event, a very important meeting in the region, as it is not only an agricultural and livestock exhibition: Expo Pioneros has become the main platform for technology, training and business development for the principal actors involved in the productive tissue of the Chaco region, Paraguay and the Gran Chaco of South America.
In short, trade fairs and professional events are back. In their absence, these kind of meetings have proved to be essential as a great instrument for boosting business. Prado Silos finds the best solution for each project, for any client, anywhere in the world. Therefore, the reopening of face-to-face commercial and international activity comes with great expectations: direct contact with professionals, clients, partners and suppliers is essential to keep the pace of an industry focused on facing the challenges in an uncertain socio-economic environment, a sector whose development is based on technology, innovation and knowledge.
